Your pre-wedding shoot is a chance to enjoy some time together, have a laugh, get comfortable in front of the camera and capture some relaxed moments before the big day.
Best pre wedding locations in Malta
Malta gives us a great variety of locations for a pre wedding shoot, and the best one really depends on the look and atmosphere you want from your photos.
If you prefer nature and greenery, Buskett Woodlands is one of my favourites. It has tree lined paths, woodland areas and plenty of quieter spots where we can walk around and keep the session relaxed. Dingli is another great option if you prefer open countryside, cliffs and sunset views.
For something more historic and full of character, Mdina works beautifully with its narrow streets, stone walls, arches and traditional Maltese doorways. Valletta gives us a completely different setting, with grand architecture, old streets, balconies, stairways and harbour views.
If you prefer a coastal pre wedding shoot, Golden Bay and other coastal locations around Malta give us open views, cliffs, sea and beautiful sunset light.
You don’t need to have everything planned beforehand. I’ll help you choose the location, plan the timing and guide you throughout the session so everything feels relaxed and natural. All you need to do is turn up, enjoy the experience together and leave the rest to me.

Most pre wedding sessions take around 1 hour, which gives us plenty of time without making the session feel rushed. I’ll guide you with posing and movement throughout, so you don’t need to worry about knowing what to do in front of the camera.
After the shoot, I’ll professionally edit your photos and deliver your final gallery ready for you to download, share and use for your wedding.

A pre-wedding shoot is a relaxed photo session before your wedding day. It gives us time to get to know each other, helps you feel more comfortable in front of the camera and gives you a collection of photos together without the pressure or timeline of the wedding day.

Absolutely. We’ll discuss the type of photos you want, locations you like and the best time of day for the light. I’ll help you plan everything so that when the day comes, you can simply enjoy the session.
Where are the best places for a pre-wedding shoot in Malta?+
Malta has plenty of options depending on the look you want, including Buskett Woodlands for nature, Mdina for historic streets, Valletta for architecture and colourful balconies, Dingli for countryside views and Golden Bay for coastal photos. I’ll help you choose the location that works best for your session.
What should we wear?+
Wear something that feels like you, but keep it clean and simple. Plain colours, neutral or earthy tones, and outfits without large logos or busy patterns usually photograph best. Try to choose outfits that work well together without matching exactly. For example, beige, white, black, olive, denim, soft blue or other natural tones usually work really well. I’d also avoid very bright neon colours, large branding and anything that might distract too much in the photos. The location matters too. Lighter natural colours work beautifully in places like Buskett or Dingli, while slightly smarter outfits can work really well around Mdina or Valletta. Once we choose the location, feel free to send me photos of a few outfit options and I can help you decide what will photograph best.
How long is a pre-wedding session?+
Most pre-wedding sessions take around 1 hour, which is usually more than enough time to move around, try a few different spots and capture a good variety of photos without rushing anything.
When should we do our pre-wedding shoot?+
There’s no set time — it really depends on what you want to use the photos for. Some couples choose to do their pre-wedding shoot a year before the wedding, especially if they want to share something like “365 days until we say I do” on social media. Others prefer doing it closer to the wedding day. If you’re planning to use one of the photos for a print, welcome sign or display at your wedding venue, I recommend booking the shoot at least 2 months before the wedding. This gives us enough time to do the shoot, edit the photos, choose your favourite and get anything printed without rushing at the last minute.
